Spurger Baseball team wins last game of season

by Kelsey Sheffield

On Monday April 22, the Spurger Pirates played Hull Daisetta Bobcats for their final game of the season. After already defeating them once before this season, the Pirates went in confident and ready to have a good last game. Seniors, Hunter Smith, Brett Bussell, Aaron Ford and Chazz Shook all had great contributions to the game. Brett Bussell, the catcher, had two RBI's as well as other good hits and threw two of Hull Daisetta's players out at first base. Aaron Ford, first basemen and centerfielder, had good outs as well as several good hits to forward the Pirates in the game. Chazz Shook also had a good hitting game and got an RBI. Hunter Smith, along with a good hitting game, pitched the last man out receiving the game ball. The Pirates walked away from their last game with a 14 to 4 win. They are thankful for all the support shown throughout the season.
