Lady Jackets win against Groveton and Kennard
The high school volleyball team had a highly successful week, getting wins against Groveton and Kennard. The second round of district play is now in the books, and the Lady Jackets have just five more district games before the playoffs begin.

The Lady Jackets started the week with a 3-1 win at home against the Groveton Indians. Coach Megan Nichols was pleased with the win against the 2A school and hopes this win will give the team the confidence they need to finish the district strong. Senior Annie Rayburn had another big game for the Lady Jackets. Nichols said Rayburn ended the game with 11 kills and 17 assists.

The Lady Jackets played a home game on Friday, Oct. 11 against the Kennard Lady Tigers. The Lady Jackets fought hard all five games and were able to pull out a win 3-2.
On Friday, Oct. 18, the Lady Jackets will host the Colmesneil Lady Dogs in a 4:30 p.m. game. On Tuesday, Oct. 22, the Lady Jackets will play a home game against the Goodrich Lady Hornets. Game time is 4 p.m., and the seniors will be recognized prior to the game, at around 4 p.m.
