Colmesneil athletes compete in summer sports

Just because it's summertime doesn't mean that Colmesneil Bulldog athletes are taking a break. Many of the athletes are competing in seven-on-seven football, baseball, basketball, and volleyball. Colmesneil's seven-on-seven football team has already played a handful of games against Woodville and Groveton, as the quarterbacks try to develop chemistry with their receivers before two-a-days start. Several members of the Colmesneil baseball team competed in the TASO All-Star game held at Lamar University last week, while a few are playing select baseball leagues.
Both the boys' and girls' basketball teams have played several games collectively as well, keeping themselves in shape for the upcoming season. With so many players staying so active this summer, expect another successful year in sports from Colmesneil athletics.
