Two survive wreck in Warren

WARREN – At approximately 2:50a.m., on the morning of June 12, the Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to a single vehicle crash on FM 2827 in Tyler County. The crash occurred approximately five miles South of Warren.

The preliminary DPS crash report indicates that a 2001 Ford pickup truck was traveling northbound on FM 2827. For an unknown reason, the vehicle traveled off the road to the right. As the driver attempted to get the vehicle back onto the roadway, he over-corrected and traveled back across both the north and southbound lanes of FM 2827. The vehicle continued off the road and struck a tree.

The driver, 19-year-old Andrew Ford of Timpson, was transported by ambulance to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries.

The passenger, 18-year-old Tori Soignet, of Fred, was transported by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth hospital with serious injuries and was later transferred to a hospital in Houston for further treatment.

This is an ongoing crash investigation, according to DPS and there are no additional details available at this time.
