LIVINGSTON — A multi-vehicle crash was reported on U.S. 190 at Beech Creek Road, about four and one-half miles east of Livingston at about 6 p.m. Saturday.
A preliminary investigation by the Texas Highway Patrol indicates a 2009 Dodge pickup was westbound when, for reasons unknown, crossed the center line of the highway and struck an eastbound 2008 Nissan SUV, according to Sgt. David Hendry, spokesman for the Lufkin District of DPS.
The Dodge then spun off the roadway to the right and struck a 2016 Ford SUV that had been stopped at the stop sign on Beech Creek Road. The Nissan rolled over and ejected the driver and a passenger.
Jay Myers, 18, of Colmesneil was identified as the driver of the Dodge truck. He was taken to Conroe Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Lional Kenebrew, 36, of Newton, was driving the Nissan. Kenebrew and a 13-year-old passenger were pronounced dead at the scene by Pct. 3 Justice of the Peace Robert Johnson. Three additional passengers in the Nissan were taken to the hospital for treatment.
Zachary Riley, 28, of Livingston was driving the Ford. He and three passengers in his vehicle were treated at the scene and released.
DPS is continuing this crash investigation. No other information is available at this time.
