WOODVILLE – The Tyler County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public’s help for information leading to the arrest of Roy Harrell McDaniel, a 37-year-old Woodville man.
McDaniel is wanted by TCSO on a felony theft charge regarding a stolen travel trailer, which was reported on Sept. 13. McDaniel was arrested by the Jefferson County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office deputies, and the trailer was recovered, on Sept. 30.
Although McDaniel was taken to jail in Jefferson County, charged with parole violations, he was able to bond out of jail prior to the issuance of a warrant from Tyler County.
The Jefferson County constable responded to an area where a report was made of suspicious activity and possible stolen travel trailers, according to Tyler County Sheriff Bryan Weatherford.
When the deputy made contact with multiple subjects, including McDaniel, it was discovered he was wanted by the Board of Pardons and Paroles. When he was taken into custody, he provided a statement regarding the theft of the travel trailer stolen from Tyler County, which was on the property where the incident occurred.
According to Weatherford, he and his office have handled McDaniel on numerous offenses since June, including felony theft; tampering with identification numbers and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
McDaniel is a white male weighing 170 pounds, stands 5’6” and has brown hair and green eyes.
Weatherford encouraged anyone with information pertaining to McDaniel’s whereabouts to submit a Crime Stoppers tip through their hotline at 936-639-8477 or to call TCSO at 409-283-2172.
