Spurger ISD held its monthly board meeting on July 19 at 7 p.m in the administration building to discuss minor items on the consent and regular agenda for the month of July.
A majority of the meeting was used to approve various items for the 2012-2013 school year. The 2012-2013 Spurger ISD School Goals were approved, Sun Coast Resources was approved as a fuel source, Independent Propane was approved as a propane source, TASB was approved as Spurger's property, casualty, auto and liability insurance provider, the Spurger Student Handbook was approved, the employee handbook was approved, the athletic handbook was approved, and the quarterly investment report was approved.
All of the approved items had been discussed and reviewed in various previous board meetings.
In the next order of business, Mr. Degarveha was endorsed at Spurger's representative for region 5. The vote was held earlier this summer, and now Mr. Degarveha will officially represent Spurger
