Spurger ISD Spanish classes creating picture books

A group of Tyler County students are making a difference in the lives of underprivileged kids this week by creating children's books. The Spanish classes as Spurger ISD have been working hard on their picture books for weeks now, and have officially finished their books.

Each of the books were written and drawn by a student, and every single book was written in Spanish! The books will be sent over to Mexico and other Spanish speaking countries and given to kids who can't afford new books.

About 75 books have been made by the students so far. They include original titles, like "Ellie The Elephant" and even adaptations of popular bible stories like Noah's Ark.

All of the students made creative and colorful books and were excited to be helping out children in other countries, as well as learn something themselves.
