The three day Allan Shivers Library book sale was a success! The library holds a three day books sale once or twice a year, in hopes that the community can pick up some great deals on books and to gain profit for the library. The sale included fiction and non-fiction books, DVD's, CD's, Cassettes, VHS, and children's books. The sale even included a "surprise box" for a few dollars that included some mystery items.
Book titles included big name authors such as James Patterson, Danielle Steel, and Joh Grisham. Shoppers who wanted to stock up on books were provided with a bag, and they could fill up that bag with as many books as they wanted for one dollar. Some shoppers bought as many as ten bags at a time!
The sale generated over $1,200 in profit by the last day with a few hours left to sell books. The sale ends Friday, May 18 at 5:00p.m, and another will be held later in the year.
