A major road commonly used to get to Warren High School got a makeover this past week as road crews spread new oil and hot mix over the intersection. The road, commonly known as Warren-Fred Highway, is the main road that students use to travel to school. The intersection in town had become bumpy and faded. TxDot sent a crew out to fix 30 yards of the road so that the damaged part of the intersection would look and feel much nicer.
Small projects like this help to keep Tyler County looking beautiful, and help to keep local roads safe and comfortable. The roadwork was finished in a day's time, and the new asphalt is holding up great.
TxDot will continue to work on small cosmetic projects like this throughout the county so that the roads stay nice and presentable for residents and visitors of Tyler County and the surrounding areas.
