Nature Jackson scored 17 points, and was followed by Desi Halo with seven points, Jackie Hughes with five, Krista Harris with four points, and Alexia Washington, McKayla Marshall, Lainey Spraidlin, and Mia Spraidlin with two points.

The team successfully attempted four three pointers. Hughes scored two threes, Jackson earned one three, and Halo scored one three.

On January 6, the Lady Dogs played their first district game at home against PCA. The Lady Dogs and PCA battled back and forth for the first half with the Lady Dogs ahead by two.

In the third quarter, the Lady Dogs kicked their game up a notch and scored 16 points opposed to PCA's two points. This continued for the remainder of the game, and the Lady Dogs won their first district game 40-21.
Jackson earned 12 points and was followed by Hughes with 10 points, Emilee James with six points, and Harris, Marshall, and Halo with four points.

Coach Quintin Cates said, "Defense won that game. In the second half, they only scored six points, and we scored 23 points. We won this game because PCA did not score in the second half. We were ready to play, offered great defense, and they could not do anything against us. Jackie Hughes lit PCA up with outside shots, and scored two three's and two two's. This spread PCA out and we had a greater chance of scoring."

On January 13, the Lady Dogs will play Zavalla at home. The JV girls will play first, at 4:30 p.m. and the varsity Lady Dogs will follow the JV Bulldogs. The Lady Dogs' record for this season is 19-7.

High School Bulldog Basketball- The Bulldogs did not play a game last week due to weather issues, but will play on January 13 at home against Zavalla. The JV boys will follow the JV girls who will play at 4:30 p.m., and the varsity boys will play after the varsity girls.
