Volleyball - For the first time in several years, the Lady Warriors volleyball team was in the playoffs. Last Tuesday they traveled to Splendora to take on the Cougarettes of Brazos.

Brazos was calm and collected while the Lady Warriors appeared a bit nervous to start the game. Warren would settle in though and keep it close in the first set with kills by Claire McEachern, Erin Foster, and Lindi Barnett, and an ace by Haley Briers to get within 10-7 after being down by six points early.

Brazos would use an 8-0 run at the end of the set to win it 25-12.

The Lady Cougarettes jumped out early in the second and third sets as well and never looked back, taking them 25-10 and 25-11.

The Warren community is so proud of the Lady Warriors for making the playoffs and hope that it is a tradition they can build on in the future.

Coach Weichert on Facebook said, "What a season! I'm so proud of all of our girls. We are definitely headed in the right direction! Thank you to the seniors! You got us here, and now is up to the underclassmen to carry on our playoff tradition. Thank you to the parents for your continued support.

"I'm so lucky to have been able to coach your daughters, watch them grow, mature, and become beautiful young women. Thank you to Coach Foster and Coach Kehtel for being huge supports, advice givers, and shoulders."

Football – The Warriors traveled to Kountze for their final game of the season. Even though Warren scored a season high on offense, they would fall just short at 26-20.

Coach Buckner said, "We are very proud of the way this team finished. They never quit playing right up to the last drive where we had a chance at the go ahead score after being down two touchdowns. That says a lot about these young men."
