After many digs and blocks the Lady Pirates found themselves in a close match. Despite the two blocks made by Shelly Martin, the Lady Pirates fell behind in the first match, 17-25.

In the second game, the Lady Pirates were at a stand still due to Trinidad's middle hitter. However, they fought back , and with six kills from Martin and many impressive digs from Cassidy LeBouef, the Lady Pirates found themselves back in the game. After a timeout from Trinidad, Spurger fell behind and lost game two, 17-25.

The Spurger Lady Pirates had great pressure going into the third game to get a win. Unfortunately, they lost the final game and ended their season. From the first hit in August to the last in November the Lady Pirates ended their season's final game in with a close score of 21-25.

This week most of the girls will find themselves with Coach Amber Moore working on their next goal, basketball playoffs. "I have eighteen girls signed up to play. I will have a JV and varsity," said Moore, "I didn't graduate anybody from my team last year so I have the same group. We should have an awesome season if they stay focused and work hard. I'm super excited ."
